Making Strides with Pride, Breast Cancer Walk
Every year the entire chapter participates in the fight against breast cancer walk sponsored by the American Cancer Society. This year our chapter surpassed our goal of $10,000, raising over $11,000 for the cause to fight breast cancer.

Feed the Hungry: National Day of Service Activity
As we reflect on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King and his "I have a Dream Speech" we will take the time to help those less fortunate by collecting gentle used coats, We will have our annual chapter wide sandwich making activity and donate canned goods and non-perishable items to deliver to the Mary Brennan Inn, in Hempstead, Long Island. Last year we made nearly 500 sandwiches and over 450 snack bags for an estimated total of 2,000 lbs. of food. We will surpass that this year while demonstrating “the power to make a difference.”
Make Change with Loose Change
The Nassau County Chapter is proud to promote and take part in the “Make Change with Loose Change” program. Piggy banks will be distributed to the Jacks and Jills for collection of loose change. We are proud to support this worthwhile initiative as we guide our children to “make positive change with loose change”. This is also a wonderful way to teach our children the value of helping others through philanthropy.
